Istanbul Modern Tour with Banu Küçüksubaşı
Istanbul Modern, which we have been eagerly waiting for and designed by Architect Renzo Piano, recently opened its doors with its new building. We are touring Istanbul Modern, which has an impressive collection, in its new building with our dear Banu Küçüksubaşı. Our tour will take place on Tuesday, June 6th between 11:00 and 13:00.
In the space, which has a fairly large section of the museum's own collection, there is a photography exhibition and a Women Artists Fund exhibition, as we were accustomed to in its previous space.
We start this tour from the 'Floating Islands' exhibition on the 2nd floor of the museum. We tour the development of Turkish art from 1945 to the present day, in a way that will complement our tour of the Istanbul Painting and Sculpture Museum and touch on artists who are not there. The second part of this exhibition focuses more on the works of local and world-famous foreign artists since the 2000s. After talking about Contemporary Art here, we listen to the statements of women artists in the 'We Are Always Here' exhibition on the lower floor.
After making our final speech at Nuri Bilge Ceylan's photography exhibition titled 'Elsewhere' on the same floor, we leave our guests to enjoy the exhibition here, the architectural photography exhibitions taken by the building's architect Renzo Piano and Cemal Emden, and the iconic terrace.
We are waiting for art lovers to experience the excitement of coming together with Istanbul Modern...
