Haliç Shipyard - Banu Küçüksubaşı

Our art tours, accompanied by Banu Küçüksubaşı, continue with the Haliç Istanbul Art Museum.

Being one of the oldest shipyards still actively operating in the world, Haliç Shipyard has been opened to the city life to serve with its social venues such as a museum, performing arts and cultural center, exhibition and children's workshop areas, as well as restaurants.

The “Oh Beautiful Istanbul” exhibition, prepared as a result of a collective effort that brought together different collections and institutions, consists of more than 300 works.

Ulaş Değirmenci Collection, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Collection, Mustafa Taviloğlu Collection, Ekrem İmamoğlu Collection, Merey Collection, İyem Collection, Dr. Şükrü Bozluolcay Collection, Bilge Collection, Meir Dalva Collection, Lale-Cengiz Akıncı Collection are included in this exhibition.

In this trip, we will see the portrait of Fatih Sultan Mehmet, purchased by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, and the portrait of Suleiman the Magnificent, “Suleiman the Magnificent”, given as a gift, and we will explore Istanbul and Istanbulites in Turkish Art from the 15th Century Ottoman to the present day.
