Banu Kucuksubasi and Arter Pretend You Don't Exist

We will be visiting the Arter exhibition “Pretend You Don’t Exist”, which consists of selected works from the Ömer Koç Collection, on Tuesday, April 16th, accompanied by Banu Küçüksubaşı.

Curated by Selen Ansen, the exhibition titled Suppose You Were Not Here explores the possibilities of the intimacies established between different objects and the transfer of the created body from the home to the museum as a space, as a result of a collector's dreams and realizations. The exhibition, which includes works by nearly 400 artists, as well as anonymous works, mass productions and various items, spreads across the 3rd and 4th floor galleries of Arter.

While it was designed to accompany a singular life in a private space, the selection from a personal collection, opened to the public through the mediation of an art institution and a curatorial perspective, creates a world between times and forms that defies the logic of classification.
